Garden Harvest

Jeremy and I have been busy gardening this summer. One of my professors and his wife invited us to help grow corn on their property which we harvested earlier and have stored in our freezer. But, they also offered to help us learn home-canning. We canned pinto beans earlier but these photos are from the salsa we made from some of their garden harvest! We picked roma and beefsteak tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, and several types of hot peppers. Plus a few seasonings and we had about 70 pints of fresh, home-made salsa to enjoy through the winter! This is only half our finished bounty! We have really had fun getting to know this family better as well as spend some time out in the summer air!
